Urban Fox grabs piece of Group 1 glory in Fillies’ Mile!
Urban Fox got the yard’s first piece of Group 1 black-type in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket when finding only the Aiden O’Brien trained duo Rhododendron and Hydrangea too good in Britain’s best mile race for 2yo fillies.
Tracking Hydrangea on the stands side rail, Urban Fox travelled sweetly and galloped out well to finish a gallant third, one place ahead of her May Hill conqueror, Rich Legacy.
She is now having a well-earned rest and will return to Newmarket’s Rowley Mile for the 1,000 guineas.
