Urban Fox on course for 1,000 Guineas after Fred Darling second
Urban Fox picked up from where she left off last year with a promising second in the Fred Darling at Newbury on Saturday over an inadequate seven furlongs.
Having suffered an interrupted preparation due to a foot problem, Saeed Manana’s daughter of Foxwedge was not expected to having a winning chance in the Group Three contest hence her odds of 25-1. However, she showed her class to finish a comfortable second by Dabyah, who was actually bred by Saeed Manana.
Having come out of the race well, it is now all systems go for Newmarket on Sunday 7th May…
